Teresa Berg

Teresa Berg, Ph.D., is an Adult Career Development Coordinator at Tulsa Technology Center in Tulsa, OK. She received her B.S. in Special Education and a Master’s in School Administration, from NSU, before completing her Doctorate in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum in Early Childhood Education at the University of Oklahoma. Teresa’s career spans over 25 years of working with children and adults with developmental disabilities in childcare, community based settings, and public school settings. She served for 8 years on the Oklahoma State Special Education Advisory Board, working with a team of educators to develop and administer the Oklahoma Alternative Assessment Program (OAAP), including curriculum development.

Teresa also served as an Oklahoma Special Education Master Teacher providing state and local level training for educators across the state for one year before taking a full time position as Program Administrator of a nationally accredited 3 Star child development center. As a center administrator she received Oklahoma’s Gold Level Directors Credential from Center for Early Childhood Professional Development.

Teresa has earned the CDA Gold Standard Comprehensive Award from The Council for Professional Recognition for the Early Care and Education training program she oversees at Tulsa Technology Center. She serves as Certification hair on the Oklahoma Family Resource Coalition. Teresa remains actively engaged in the early childhood community of Oklahoma and has presented at various local, state, and national early childhood conferences while also serving on multiple early childhood committees throughout her community.

Recently, Teresa completed the Community Based Doula Training through Tulsa Birth Equity Initiative and is completing her certification requirements to be a fully certified Doula.
